KRISTIAN AADNEVIK was inspired by the goddesses of Norse Mythology, the Valkyries, in his SS 2012 collection. Female beings who rule the destiny of mortals, daughters of royalty, accompanied by ravens and connected to swans. The collection contained printed fabric, feathers, fringes and leather all in light colors and metallic tones with elements inspired by the Valkyries.

“In this collection my muse has retained her dark side yet is showing her angelic and spiritual self.  Much like the mythological female figures she is divine, mysterious, and powerful. However, she still preserves her femininity, vulnerability and delicate beauty. This is how I see my muse someone with both a dark and light side, someone who is in power of her destiny.” Kristian Aadnevik about the collection.
